The CWL Blog Is Here!

Sean White - Sunday, September 01, 2013

Welcome to the CWL Media blog!

This is our first post and one of not very many.

We'd much rather spend less time writing blog posts and more time designing websites for our clients, however, this blog will serve as a taster of some of the many possibilities open to you when you hire CWL Media to build your next website and have us host it on our Kontent Katalyst system! (Plus this will be where all the latest news and offers will be made available to you.)

As you can see, this blog section still requires a little work, and the only reason it looks different to the rest of the site is because we took one of two approaches to our blog - unfortunately this one was the more technical approach and it didn't pay off so well! But aren't you glad we did it on ours and not yours? We call this a necessary learning process and it now means we know the best route to giving our clients beautiful blogs.

When we get some free time, of course, we'll tidy our blog section up and make it look and feel like the rest of our site, but it won't be a priority, since the priority is, of course, building YOUR websites, not ours!

We don't really have much else to write for this first post, so we should probably wrap it up.

Stay tuned for more blog posts from CWL Media, coming soon!

So long!

I seldom drop remarks, but after reading through a few of the responses here The CWL Blog Is Here!.
I actually do have 2 questions for you if it's okay. Is it simply me or do some of these responses look as if they are left by brain dead individuals? :-P And, if you are writing on additional social sites, I'd like to keep up with everything new you have to post.
Would you post a list of every one of all your social networking sites like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?

I do not comment, however after reading a few of the remarks on The CWL Blog Is Here!.
I do have 2 questions for you if it's okay. Could it be only me or does it look as if like some of the comments appear like they are written by brain dead individuals? :-P And, if you are writing at other sites, I'd like to follow you. Could you make a list of every one of all your public sites like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?

Having a solid arsenal of web design tips to turn to when it’s time to get down to work can also help to speed up your workflow.

I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is required to
get setup? I'm assuming having a blog like yours would cost
a pretty penny? I'm not very web savvy so
I'm not 100% certain. Any recommendations or advice
would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

Good redesigns are not necessarily the most flashy ones, but the ones that improve performance over time. Talking to your clients before starting your design is key to defining all of this. You need to learn what their concerns and goals beyond the written SOW (statement of work) are.

The options are limitless. Understanding what’s in place from a design perspective is key if you're to move fast and recognise where the opportunities to innovate are, as opposed to needing to challenge what has been established and coming off as someone unable to understand the requirements.
